By saying "thank god that birth control will always be available," you are implying that Mr. Santorum (and I) want to ban access to birth control. As Mr. Santorum states  in this video, he does not want to ban access to birth control. However, as a public figure, Mr. Santorum believes it is important to speak out against the use of birth control. I believe there has been a re-thinking in the conservative movement about the role of birth control, and many concluding that it is deleterious.
