What makes Belle so great is her sense of adventure. She doesn't fall for the handsome prince.... she falls for a beast. Her sweet/adventurous nature is what makes her my favorite Disney Princess.

@chenzel03 I completely agree. She's not only brave but intellectual as well.That why she had the good sense not to falll for loser Gaston. She is able to use her brains and not focus solely on how she looks. She fearlessly stands up for what she believes and I adore her for that.
