Occupy LA Raid - Mayor Villaraigosa's First Amendment Area

Last night, Mayor Villaraigosa issued a statement shortly after the police closure of Occupy LA began.

Part of it read:

"During the park closure, a First Amendment area will remain open on the Spring Street City Hall steps."

Though I was only a spectator of the movement, such an area wasn't something I had witnessed on any of the video streams.

I drove downtown with my camera asked officers on the perimeter for more information.

Court house?!? It's City Hall! And you are referring to the West (Spring) Street and it closed 10:30pm - 5am daily!
