Can't see why anyone who is open to metal music would dislike Stratovarius - they create very good music... there are other bands that needs to be put down for good tho, like Bring Me The Horizon and all emo crap.

@ClearFiend Maybe not cheesy, but every one of their songs is blast beats and screaming. They've been pretty consistent in that field, not to say that they aren't a great band

Both bands are cheesy and cliché as fuck, but at the same time they each influenced countless bands. Both deserve respect, and comparing them is fucking absurd because of how completely different they are.

I don't know, I have never really appreciated Stratovarius at all. I guess I just don't like the heroic epic hero epicness heroic hero stuff they play, but I do get why some people love 'em.

@Premoguys I'd add that Blind Guardian is one of the best rock-metal-everything band in the universe. :) They're smart, funny, inteligent and creative. :) I used to like strato a lot when I was younger, but now I cannot listen to them anymore...I still love "Visions", though.

About Meshuggah. They're cryptic in their music and a bit "icy"...But that's the point of their art. I think they're funny swedish-average people. :)

Stratovarius are actually assholes. Before their gigs they want all bands to get off backstage so they can be alone before their "performance"

Yeah they actually made Nightstalker, Rotting Christ and other bands leave backstage for that.
