Why Khe Sanh?

To win a war, you should create big battles where you can win. Gettysburg, Normandy and Khe Sanh. You name it. Search and kill missions cost time and money during Vietnam war. Khe Sanh was a big trap in an attempt to eliminate the enemies as many as possible. The US hyped Khe Sanh to be the second Dien Bien Phu and Giap fell into the trap. Dien Bien Phu was defeated because French did not control the surrounding hills and did not have air support.

Thats right..the full force of the NVA..supported by the full military resupply of the USSR and China..and all of it focused Khe Sahn located directly on the Ho Chi Minh trail with the one plan complete military defeat of the US..and it didnt happen..now did it. So where is my "propaganda"? Oh wait the same place the "Iraq Defeat" was manufactured..the diseased minds of the Far Left.

as for 15,000 NVA casualties - well, that figure is likely to be at least equally as inaccurate.

Oh yeah, it meant we were free to kill NVA by the 10's of thousands, they were so shell shocked by their asswhupping they could not refield those units until completely rebuilt!
