Instead he would have to pay maintenance costs to store it. War socialism is the worst of all the ism's because it provides nothing, and further it just steals from humanity for far into the future.

I really do not understand the big deal about this ad, why is clobbered Dukakis? Can someone explain to me why it lead to landslide by H.W. Bush? Honestly, I really do not understand to this day.

I don't think the ad delivered the coup de grace to Dukakis. It made him look silly. He was compared to Snoopy the dog driving a tank. It gave the impression of Dukakis trying put on his big boy pants to win the military vote. Willie Horton was the ad that did the TKO. Every Gov. had some sort of work furlough program. I suppose the prison lobby was PO'd at him. And GB was just the thing for prison building programs for druggies. As a libertarian, get-tough-on-crime types scare me. Arm yourself!

Dukakis didn't seem to have much fight in him. What he supported didn't make me that eager. In the face of all that loss of good jobs in the 80's the man could have offered trade tariffs and an industrial policy to strengthen domestic industry. But he didn't, and all we get are free traders running for high office. So I can't care that much who wins.

As a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Gary Hart cannot be expected to do anything of great value for the American people. If he was elected he would have just pushed the agenda of corporate oligarchic rule farther down the road. He had been very supportive of the The War Against Terrorism globally or global TWAT. He said that 9-11 provided the opportunity for a New World Order, which creeps me out.

Yeah, sure. Why not? We have such second rate leadership in our government. Kitty needed to forget she was married to such a dead horse. If Mr Dukakis ran against Charles Manson, Manson would win on his charisma and creativity. Say what you want about Chucky, but he was able to motivate people. Dukakis could never get drugged out hippies to do a hit. He couldn't even get the dog to fetch the newspaper. Not that I condone murder. It's just that as Prez you got to get people to do murder for you.
