  • Electrofishing is a collection method for marine biologists and fish conservation personnel and only with a special permit.

When this method is done properly, the fish recover with no lasting effects.

The amount of current in the water is very low.

  • Doesn't that take any sport out of fishhing? To easy and *cheating* so to speak.

  • NERDS!

  • @MsDarko001 And a hook to the mouth and suffocation isn't?

  • гандоны

  • @bennydumi: it is legal and it is so far the most efficient way of estimating fish population parameters since it is possible to catch more fish per unit of time, so it used only for scientific purposes.

@Karyn64: It is not sport or cheating, it is meant to invest less time in catching the fish and more in studying it (measuring, weighing, blood sample...)
