First time riding a motorcycle! Ninja 250

The first five minutes of me riding a motorcycle and my first time learning to shift. The bike is a 2006 ninja 250f that I just bought used. I think I did alright, but I do see a bunch of beginner mistakes such as leaving my feet down and my wobbly front tire stops. I drove it for about a half an hour and than the next day I drove it by myself from Duluth to the Iron Range in November when it was about 38 degress outside. I made it and now have to wait until spring to practice more.

@hahaland74 Yeah I bought the bike before I got my license. Ive upgraded to a GSXR 600 but I still have my 250 and use it for commuting.

@Stevsta1213 I am 5'7" and I can completely flat foot it so I think someone much shorter than me could ride this bike but maybe up on your toes.

Ye buy a harley if u want to have a brike break down every 100 miles and the worst brakes out there. At least u can trust a jap bike 99.9% that it wont crap out on u any second.

I dont get whats so difficult about riding a motorcycle, i never rode on a motorcycle at all and my first bike was a yamaha 700

We here in New Zealand are restricted to 250cc whilst on our Learner and restricted licence period. Then you get your full licence and all restrictions are lifted. I have owned my ninja for just under one year and just broke the 11,000 kms. This includes the video i have responded with above when i took it to the track. Here in Auckland NEw Zealand. HAppy riding and i can't wait to upgrade to my R6 :)
