The black man is now marginalized to the point of "standstill." We don't propagate at the same rate, reproducing like the other races...our progress has stalled, unlike the other races who have successfully and successively pushed the bar, population wise. Statistically, per census, we have sat at or lingered around the same numeric, for years. We kill each other exponentially, and we now refer to stints spent in penal institutions, as attending college. We got a lot of work to do.

I think we as a group have taken a step back...our families are def not as solid as they once were... respect for one another in our communities have gone down the drain...before we stood together whether behind mx or mlk...now we stand by behind a blank...so out of touch with a true struggle to sit at the table

@Misterdeeh3000 There IS a black president, so some progress has been made. But I think that is mainly a class thing. Black people are still disproportionately poor, which makes it hard to progress in anything. And yes, culturally I do feel that black people have taken a step back since segregation, which is another contributing factor. I don't know if using Native Americans as an example of a race making progress is a good one, seeing as they struggle with poverty as well.

To have a good argument, you must first have a true understanding of the history involved. If you say the "Indians" have progressed, while commendable, you should cease such an argument until you learn more...mayhap look to some examples in your own country possibly of a group of people who have been decimated or enslaved or gov't laws made to deny a specific group of people the rights a constitution granted them...start there first then try again

Huge question, my family is Hispanic, argentinan, I always argue with my brothers and father because they say why and how blacks haven't progressed in USA after segregation , I always point out that most of it is simply politics , they argue that other races and cultures such as Irish, indians, have been pushed down yet progress, so I need help, a good argument as to why blacks haven't progressed

great man you were malcolm !!!!
@459triple3 Think of the war machine, Lockheed Matian has lobbiest lobbying for senators and representitives who will vote to go to war(Buying bombs made by Lockeed Martian). Whites and blacks alike have been taken advantege of in these instices, since the cost is payed by the tax put on (all) people. My opinion is when we look at color to the extent you are, we "can't see the wood for the trees".

@EasedBluntman Racial seperation was an issue but I'm sure the people who only pay lip service to the statement "All men were created equal" are fading into a minority, except in government of course, were money buys war, unconstitutional laws, and unfair imporportionate taxes put on ones earnings.
