ITV Schools and Colleges 1982 mock junction

This mock junction is from 1982, with the addictive Hey Presto and Baccarat interval music (I think they're addictive anyway). The background of the slide should be all white instead of what it is. As a bonus there is the opening titles to Insight (thank you to TVARK).

I dont own any schools programmes or any other schools presentation - yet. This has been done purely for fun only.

And if I might point out a slight error - for a 1982 re-screening, the "Yorkshire Television Colour Production" frontcap at the start of Insight would have been replaced by the new fanfare and "Yorkshire Television Production" slide.

"Hey Presto" and "Baccarat" are now both available on the 2-CD compilation Watch With Teacher, which can bought from Amazon.

It wouldn't always have been replaced - I know I saw Yorkshire TV programmes being shown on ITV with "Colour Production" pre and post programme idents after 1981.

The interval tracks, in order of play, are "Getting It", "Hey Presto" and "Baccarat", composed by Brian Bennett and taken from the Bruton LP "Counterpoint In Rhythm" (BRD 17, 1982). Sadly they have never been re-issued on CD, as is the case for other Bruton tracks used for ITV Schools.

The slide music is very catchy. The Summer term of 1982 was based on magic as the pieces of music would suggest and the programme Insight is all about magic.
