It was then followed by a panel discussion on "Commodity Security for Economic Growth" wherein the President was joined by Richard Adkerson, President and CEO of Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold Inc., Frank Gaoning Ning, CEO of China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuff Corp., and Jing Ulrich, Managing Editor and Chairman of Global Markets China and JP Morgan.

  • @RTVMalacanang The Communications Team of Malacanang should do a better job. Instead of screening the forums and discussions properly for him, you put him on the spot by exposing him to a topic he knows very little about. Clearly, the US organizers of APEC used the opportunity to fan the flames between PH vs CN while the Americans put on their friendly mask. The Philippines has nothing to gain by doing America's bidding and bypass proper diplomatic channels.

  • The people in Malacanang's communications team should do a better job. Why did they put the president on the spot by having him as panelist of something he obviously knows very little about. Moreover, why did Honolulu APEC organizers include a Philippine panelist when the country is clearly one of the smallest players or suppliers in commodities of the region? MY, ID, Canada, Chile or Mongolia would make absolute sense. Seems like the forum was intended to fan the flames of PH vs CN.

  • Wow, the Philippine president is impressive with motherhood statements. Nothing substantial.

  • He is working but how do you figure out where to begin with if you don't even know what's wrong and why things didn't work out before? He's not blaming for the sake of blaming. Just because wrong things are being pointed out that's just labeled blaming? Give the guy some credit. None of us can do a better job!

  • STOP BLAMING OTHERS AND START WORKING!

  • Sorry but my confidence in this guy was way long gone since he was still in the congress because of poor performance. I dont even capitalize his name anymore when I write or type it down.

  • Good job mr. president :)
