Lenovo M58 Dual Monitor Setup

The Lenovo M58 desktop PC has a standard VGA port, but it also has a "DisplayPort" which can be used to connect a second monitor very easily - all you need is an appropriate DisplayPort adaptor cable. This video shows how to set it up.

omg im having right trouble. ok do you have to have the 2 screens connected to each other? in my pc from my graphics card i have a big white connection (output) and blue vga output. iv gon from the big white out put from the pc to my big 50" tv that has vga male and female ports. and then from the blue vga of the pc to my other monitor, but only my big 50" screen works. iv set everything right in the properties. PLEASE HELP. DO THE 2 SCREENS HAVE TO BE CONNECTED?

@sunhouse76 No. The two screens are not connected. In this video, one monitor connects to the VGA port and the second to an optional DisplayPort to VGA Adaptor which is plugged into the DisplayPort on the PC.

@stuhasic ok man. iv got a 50" LG tv with pc ports. and a Belinea monitor. my pc is a zoostorm that has a very good card in it. the card has 3 ports a normal blue vga. a white larger port and a port that looks a lot like the one you say is a display port. the pc its self also has the ports it would normaly have, a blue VGA, and a big orange kinda port that most pc`s have. BUT when i connect everything up, the Belinea monitors on button lights up green as if its on but i just get a black screen?

@sunhouse76 Get one screen working first using the VGA port from your motherboard. Get the other screen working from the VGA port of your good card. That basic setup should work. If not, I have no idea.

that hook up id s hdmi hook up for a tv not snother screen you can add one but ibm makes business computers its made to be sitting in an office room hooked up to a 50 inch plasma or lcd or even led nowdays

Hello! I have a problem with this PC because I bought a video card, but when I installed it, only that, I get the system to fix the video card, video card and do not know what to buy for this computer: (

@sunhouse76 I wanted to also add m8 thanks for the reply dude i know my explanations are shit lol but im desperate to get this going cos i have to have another pc running in order to work better, so i can read from 1 screen and work and learn from another. im learning after effects from a adobe acrobat doc so dule screens would help loads :O)
