  • I have two computers running off a wireless router. They are connected by cables, the wireless router is for my notebook.

With both computers grabbing their Internet service from the router, what would be the best way to network these two computers so I can access files from either? I'm assuming some type of Internet connection? Look forward to your response.

  • So basically, routers help connect you with a local area network, or wireless local area network and once that happens you have internet connection right?

  • at home I use a router in the neighbor sharing with multiple computers using mikrotik security system, video is very helpful in terms of the basic configuration of the router on my home computer

  • @SuperHigh2000 Well routers don't usually come with the computer, you buy them separately so if you bought one you'd know. Hey you can always Google images (router) and see if you do. I was just throwing suggestions up though didn't know all what you had going on. :)

  • @SuperHigh2000 Try looking on your router itself it should tell you what kind it is on there.

ex: 2WIRE### or Cisco ASM/2-32EM, Linksys. something along those lines.

  • @iramrockz123 yes

  • @DJSexLeopard Only if you're proficient enough to circumvent multiple safeguards on a secure intranet.
