  • The Fish and Game department in this state always steps over their boundary. First the Idiot Laroche wants the animal dead then he goes and changes his story after people start bitching to the state. The guys a freakin jerk, just like the rest of the a holes in Montpelier. The moose is on 600 acres of land not in there garage. I hope the people of Vermont win this one.

  • You are so right!!! The commisioner of fish and wildlife should be an elected position just like a sheriff or a mayor. Not appointed. They have too much power and too much room for corruption.

  • for petes sake let pete decide what pete wants to do.

  • I think Pete has made his choice very clear. He loves David and is perfectlt happy and healthy. He should be left where he is and not sent off to some zoo to be locked in a cage on a concrete pad or worse yet (maybe) shot and killed by the state. When the Fish and Wildlife say humane, that is what they mean. They will go in and put a bullet in his head. Please, Please call the Gov. office if you disagree 802.828.333

  • When Pete was a baby he was mauled by dogs. The folks who found hin called Dept Fish & Wildlife to see what they could do. Fish and Wildlife told them to let him die. Nice huh? What would you have done? And thank you for your nice comments.

  • This is a tragedy Pete belongs where he is and let well enough alone, The fish and wildlife fools need to understand that Pete deserves to live the options are stacked against Pete, free he will be prey to every other wild animal, or euthenasia. What the hell are they thinking??

  • We need everyone to see this and respond to the Gov. Office 802.828.3333

It is working, we are getting the heat on where it needs to be. Send this to EVERYONE you know.

  • Albus Dumblebore...

  • is it to late to call? I just found about about pete from my mother that lives in islandpond.

  • You can see in other videos, he's got just a look in his eyes, she such a gentle soul.

  • what ever happened to this moose?

  • Why does Vermont want to kill so badly? Especially a celebrity... I am surprised that ultra-liberal VERMONT would want to kill a baby animal with so much history. You are not a "very bad person". You are a piece of the TRUE BACKBONE of what built the United States. In my opinion a MOOSE is worth an EAGLE ! Shame on you VERMONT. Today a moose, tomorrow an EAGLE ?

  • Just read today that Pete was saved - so happy for everyone involved

  • @corelli2 Well Mr. Gallo, think about this. The thought that any of us will get some terrible disease and spread it around is just to awful to contemplate, so let's just kill everyone who might get it and be done with it. Pete is no "distraction" Mr. Gallo. He represents common sense, a quality you obviously lack.

  • Fortunately, Mr. Gallo, the head of VT Fish and Game was voted down. As usual, these public officials have such over inflated egos and think they know everything. None of the diseases talked about by the vets has even appeared, but the the thought of them seemed to scare them.

  • One thing I've been wondering since watching these videos is whether or not they've actually tested Pete (and the deer) for chronic wasting disease? If I were David, I'd get Pete screened. That would make F&W's argument moot (besides illegally keeping a domesticated moose).

2nd thing I'd do is find a way to legally keep the moose. I wonder if he can get a license or permit for that kind of thing?

  • Why don't these people just mind their own business... This guy wants to use his own land to take care of wild life and be a human being... What is wrong with the world that he can't do that without a hassle.... LEAVE THE MOOSE alone... If he had just died no one would been the wiser...
