@IMChrisThom Don't be a jackass about it. It is a fact that she didn't get a record deal by paying for it. How else do you explain performing at countless cafes, festivals, and singing the National Anthem at sports games since she was 11? Scott Borchetta discovered her before he even created Big Machine Records. She didn't have an official producer or manager. If her dad had paid for it all, that would have been handed to her.

@IMChrisThom That's untrue, because for one, she signed on to a label that was nonexistent at the time and two, her family lived on a Christmas tree farm in rural Pennsylvania. They weren't exactly the Kardashians.
