I'm very much a fan of the Mario Kart series, not least of which would this include Mario Kart Wii, the latest installment in the series.

I've noticed as time went on that there has come to be a greater emphasis on item usage as marked by the inclusion of more and more item boxes per lap and the introduction of more and more high-impact items.

Don't get me wrong, I love items, but with more and more racers zipping about the track, it's growing steadily harder for me to ignore the fact that I seem to have a magnet in my pocket or something.

I'm not naive enough to think that this is something that happens by design, it's just a matter of the fact that I often find myself stranded in the middle of the pack (or worse) and incurring all the abuse that comes with the fact that there are a lot of racers behind me and ahead of me directing their attacks simultaneously and I just happen to get in the way a lot.

If Murphy had ever played Mario Kart, his law would definitely have my racing record to show for it...I suppose this just means I'll have to start being more aggressive to escape from the "black hole positions" as I like to call them, because once you're stuck in a rut back there, you're not likely to pull ahead any time soon with the high frequency of extremely desructive weapons that find themselves concentrated around there and the increased number of positions just adds on to the odds of getting pulverized at some point or another.

Here I'm using Waluigi and the Wario Bike, one of my favorite characters for some reason and my single favorite bike in the game...and I'm not generally one to favor bikes.
