Is that a quadruple expansion uniflow steam engine? In the engine diagram there are 4 circles. I thought these were triple expansion. If the EPA gets its way Lake Michigan Carferry will be forced to install ash bunkers to stop ash dumping in Lake Michigan, or have the expense of having to re engine with EMD locomotive diesels & electric motors. Too bad, it's the only coal fired passenger boat on the lakes. Stupid EPA!!!
