Beautiful cat. Here she is at 21 years of age and just as august as ever.

Message from my brother on the night of September 5:
"Orange, just wandered out into traffic. You know she never does that, she never leaves the backyard. We got a ring at the door from people/(passing by drivers) who said asked if we had an old ginger cat and then said they think she'd been hit by a car. She stopped eating a few days back, I thought she just hated the food but she clearly wants to die. Poor thing. Time to dig a hole. My childhood cat is on her last legs. I'm sad.

I loved Orange. She was mean and smelly, but she was our cat."

She died the next morning.

My orange cat is 18 years old at the moment, I dred the day she will pass away but when she does I hope it will be a peaceful passing like she deserves.

What a fine old cat. Still purring, still working to keep those fine orange stripes looking good. I have one who lived to be 19 and I know how dignified and loving a fine old cat is.
