Lou Dobbs 11-13-2007. A new study by the Urban Institute shows that universities are producing more than enough graduates in Science and Math in this country, but corporations continue to claim there aren't enough Americans so they must hire foreign workers on H-1B visas. Perhaps the best moment of the video is towards the end when Dobbs challenges Bill Gates to debate the need for unlimited H-1B visas. Interviews with Vivek Wadhwa, from Harvard and Duke, and Paul Almeida, AFL-CIO.

  • I really hate it when people confuse the issues. This isn't about an excuse to be racist and to damage a very legitimate issue with that uneducated vitriol seen below. What this is an understanding that when the cabin pressure is lost you put the mask to your face so that you will be in a position to help your child. The world isn't the better off for America going down the tubes. If we want to provide for others we have to provide for ourselves. It's NOT okay to stab yourself in the back.

Talking out of your ass can go only so far to support your baseless rants. Your imaginary statistics only prove how chronic lying has become an embedded genetic characteristic of the porki populace.

Your own fucking name is Samir in your profile and you again feel this chronic compulsion to lie that you are a white. Are you porkis so ashamed of your identity? Fucking disgraceful. But again, I do not hold you fully responsible for such a behavior. Firstly, who would want to be recognized as a porki in the free world? Secondly, I ams ure madrassas do not teach you anything about ethics or shame.

  • @indiasucksalways

You are a fucking porki living in cali. Obviously we can't expect much different from you than what you blurted out through your previous comments. Typical porki.

And where the fuck did you get this 50% slum figure for Mumbai? Hahaha... from the madrassa where you got educated? I guess so!

American workers are not ranked one in any report. That is total farce. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, US ranks 4th and India 19th. South Korea tops the list. [2006].

  • No need exactly..Deport those H1 workers. I was a low skilled H1 worker but now that I got my greencard after my marriage with this american citizen, I care less. Once I get my citizenship they can deport all the green card holders as well. For some reason unknown to me I just love this country

  • indiasucksalways - Actually Indians are smart people - very smart people. Children of Indian immigrants excel in America's spelling bee time and time again. Employers want cheap labor to max their profits. Economics 101. This goes way back in U.S. history. Who built the transcontinental railroad? Imported Chinese labor. Even then the railroad execs picked Asians over native Americans. They worked harder, faster, cheaper.

  • Maybe American workers have bad attitudes because corporate America treats them like slaves or cuts their wages in 1/2 even though inflation is going up 4% every year. Think that might have something to do with it? It's common practice in Silicon Valley for programmers to "come in late" and work late. But you've never worked in Silicon Valley, have you? Who built the IT industry, America or India? Why is there no Indian operating system?

  • I don't know where you get your stats. American employers often complain about the bad attitudes and sense of entitlement American workers seem to possess. I've temped in various offices and the productivity really varies. Some Americans work hard but some were lazier and stupid. Always showing up late, demanding more money and surfing the net instead of putting in an honest day's work. Actually Switzerland is #1 in the world's productivity. America is #2 and slipping.
