Hutts and Recreation (Parks & Rec Opening Parody)

Parody of the opening to Parks and Recreation. The reason this exists is because every time we watch Parks and Recreation we sing "Jabba the Hutt" along with the theme. So naturally we had to make this video.

Lol (and I mean that literally for once) Thank you for that. I have a question though- in your description you said "The reason this exists is because every time we watch Parks and Recreation we sing "Jabba the Hutt" along with the theme." as though this is a perfectly reasonable thing for sane people to do. So my question is- what on earth led to that?

@peanutbrittle50 Thanks! I'm not really sure exactly what lead to it other than the fact that we're star wars fans, and we often make up ridiculous lyrics to melodies or change lyrics to songs. But I don't know where the connection came from. :)  Glad you like it though!

did you add shaking to the clips to seem more like parks and rec or am i just crazy?

@MitsuCat2 The Star Wars clips are a little shaky, but we didn't add that. We just had a bit of an issue converting the video file... but I guess it helps add to the hand held camera look of Parks and Rec now that you mention it. :)

This totally fits because in Return of the Jedi, Jabba builds a park out of a pit. Either that or he died. I forgot.

@sallymoo0 It was made with Adobe After Effects, an incredibly robust special effects and video editing program, which allows you to link many image/video layers together and move them around whizzing by the camera. We laid ours over a copy of the original to get all the timing right and then removed the original so only our was left. It's great you're so into film-making -- shoot for the stars!
