K, I measured mine for the first time in forever at work today, first it read 158/93, then i did it again and it read 140/98, then on my way back home i stopped at the drug mart and tried again and it was 160/98. Is this something that should be read over a period of days, or are these 3 readings enough to say I'm fucked?

Just wanted to thank you for your amazing videos. I watch about 3 or 4 a day. I love the way you explain the material. I'm a nursing student and have another year before I finish. These videos have been more helpful than school itself! Also, I love your accent!

I have a question....you said that blood viscosity also can -/+ BP. High viscosity means high BP and vise versa. While more liquid, BP drops..isn't that the opposite? I mean if the blood viscosity lvl is high, then there's more particles or solutes and less liquid, correct? So BP lvl should drop. If there's less solutes and more liquid in case of over hydration or fluid overload, then BP is high. I don't know what to follow here.

elastic recoil! it is all physics, ha?
It may be you have developed a degree of hypertension. You need a 24 hour monitoring, with accurate equipment, to get a better diagnosis. Evan if you have some hypertension it is very treatable. For many people a low dose ACEI is all they need. Your doctor is very capable of prescribing this for you. As long as any hypertensin is well controled you are most unlikly to suffer adverse effects as a consequence. Its when its not recognised and controlled the trouble can start, I wish you well, John

You need to check it over several occasions, not just go from a one off reading. Try to do it at home when you are relaxed as you may be prone to White Coat Syndrome. If its still high you go to your doctor and get a 24 hour ambulatory assessment. If it is still high there are a range of excellent and effective treatment options. Best wishes,
John
