  • OK, conecting with strangers on Facebook is stupid.

    However:

Most people also provide their full name, address and phone number to the entire world in the phone book.

The only thing missing is the date of birth - and DOB is not something people usually think of as private: birthdays are celebrated in public, they're written in plaintext on the front of our driver's licenses and video shop membership cards.

The fact that banks etc. use DOB as a verification mechanism is crazy.

  • actually facebook shows DOB also

  • Don’t ride in an automobile or you may die today.

On average in 2009, 93 people were killed on the roadways of the U.S. each day.

  • I gave some stranger my email (Luckily it wasn't my private one, it was my youtube one)

  • its facebook them selves

  • In short, people are morons.

  • @TheFighterpilot93 not if you know what you're doing. idiot.

  • @loobycliff steal her identity

  • Good tip. Thanks. While it's a great social media and networking tool, thieves use Facebook to gain more than a "personal connection" to people. The problem is.... many FB users actually INVITE them into their online world!

  • @viv3ka Thats why I pay the extra dollar to keep my phone private from the phone book

  • I use Sock accounts on facebook, i got like 3, i don't use them, i only use it for probing

there are people i know, but they won't add me because they hate me in real lie, and i add them on a sock account and they add me on my sock account, and i was like "Wierd" :S?? I use them for probing accounts of random people, well i know them in a certain sense that i remember their face and name but not in real life or their personal lives.... Maybe most facebook accounts are after all sock accounts
