no i dont claim that there was no shyt between 1970and 1989. 1980-1985 its whewn the annoying pop has began it's journy . but , there was much more legandary rock and blues bands the today .today you can name as much as your fingertips . in the 1970's 80's you'll alot more then you own fingertips.

I'm not a "new age" person. I listen mostly to stuff from a very wide range of Rock genres, and mostly from the 60's to the 80's. BUT, I also know that there is a HUGE amount of brilliant new bands around today, hard rock acts such as Airbourne, more psychedelic stuff like Cage the Elephant and more famous but still bad-ass guys such as the Foo Fighters and Jack White

There are many good bands today. They are only being shamefully dismissed by the media, but that doesn't mean they don't exist!

Are you claiming that there was NO band that sucked in the entire time span between 1970 and 1989? That's a very far-reaching statement! I doubt you even know all the bands implied in it....

I was primarily saying that pop music is as omnipresent and annoying as it was in 1986, or 1978. I find "Cars" by Gary Numan and "Like a Virgin" to be as annoying as "Bad Romance"!
