  • blackwind: i'm not sure about the name of the song, but it's from a "bud spencer soundtrack" as far as i remember.

trashemailaddress: yes it takes my box a while to boot up, but maybe because it is running with 512mb ram. i'm not sure if wind0w supports a graphical user interface like beryl with such an amount of ram.

heinj: maybe i'll make a nice video again for my new computer, i plan to buy. hopefully it's cooler than this one ...

  • Why does it take so long to boot up? This has turnt me off bsd and linux. All the vids for both OSes show long, dull start-ups.

  • i don't want to offend you, but i think that's a quite narrow minded opinion, as it might take longer to boot, but at least the bsd/linux box runs as expected and does not need a reboot every 15minutes. and between the two of us: are you sitting with a stop watch in front of your pc when you turn it on?

  • i personally give a f***, if the boot process takes 30sec or 1min - my main expectance of an os is, that it runs as stable as possible and fulfills my demands without any unpredictable and (most important)irreproducable errors which make me go totally insane, as i am not able to do anything against it.

  • ambir: dock is kibadock

tobiasesb: as it can be done on freebsd 6 i guess it can also be done on any other version equivalent pcbsd

  • dear ambir,

if you don't like it, don't watch the movie :-)

    _BYE_

  • What is that asci art figure that you have in your terminals?

    It looks cool!

  • I use Ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop since I decided to get rid of vista :-) but I wonder if freebsd is better for me. I 'll give it a try.

  • Not really. I like FreeBSD, but I love Linux. Both for its stability and speed, and I like coding in Linux as its what I've gotten used to.

  • I like freeBSD myself. Linux is OK, but it is speghetti somewhat?

  • it looks like kiba dock, i didnt know you could use kiba on freebsd though

  • wow what icon dock is that? that's really sexy

  • Where did you get that wallpaper :]
