Runescape - Zaros Boss Nex Attacks and Information - God Wars Dungeon Update Guide

We have now found out new information about the new Zaros Boss Nex!

------ First the Frozen Key ------

You must obtain all 4 shards to make the key. You require level 70 Range, Strength, Agility and Constitution + a mithril grapple and hammer. These are the current minimum requirements.

You can gain 1 shard from each of the original Godwars followers. You must enter the second room, before each of the original bosses (Armadyl, Bandos, Saradomin and Zamorak) and kill any of the minions. This is not the main room. You cannot get keys inside the main room!

------ Once you have the Frozen key ------

You can enter the Frozen door. The key has 5 charges and can be repaired in your player own house at 50k per charge. You only need the key, not killcount for each of the original bosses.

Once inside you will need a rope to go any further unless you have attached a rope before (just like the Saradomin area was). Inside the frozen door and at the bottom of the ladder you are completely safe!

------ Getting Killcount ------

For killcount it is advised that you have at least extreme potions, good melee gear and 90+ melee stats. Killcount is fairly tough and some players seem to find everything attacks them.

I was using full Bandos, Overloads and Turmoil. Nothing attacks me and I have been wearing no god items. Killcount takes me around 15 - 20 minutes (3-4 overload doses) to get 40!

I stay at the North side and kill the Rangers. The meleers are tough and hard to hit so I would avoid them. Every now and again a mage spawns and attacks you. If this happens pray magic and kill it asap. Then go back to killing the rangers in the North East corner with pray range on.

When you get 40 killcount everyhting in the room will attack you so pray magic, make sure you are close to the door and head through. The door will not take you to the boss, but a sort of preparation area with a bank to restock and change your familiar before the boss fight!

-------- Preping for the Boss Fight -------

You are going to want to protect item at all times and take 4 good items including divine if you have one! Then take any other gear you are willing to risk. I am not trying to advocate using welfare, but until you know how to stay alive, don't risk what you can't afford to lose!

Take your best beast of burden, preferably a pack yak, filled with brews and the quick option set to take beast of burden. On your inventory you want 2 overload potions and around 12 super prayers/super restores. Make sure you don't forget your house tab!

Praying from magic seems to be the best way to go when inside. With a team she uses extensive magic multi attacks so be sure to do that and run when she melees you.

You can start killer Nex as soon as she has summoned the 4 minions in each corner.

There are 4 mages on the each corner of Nex's chamber which each represent smoke, ice, shadow and blood spells. Nex draws power from them to use their spells as somewhat like an arena effect. You will be able to kill one of the mages when you take down a quarter of Nex's LP. She won't be able to use the mage's effect after you kill it respectively. Here are basic summaries of the mages' powers:
Blood: When she uses the blood mage's attribute, she will attack you with blood spells and drain your life points.

Shadow: This attack starts by the chamber getting darker. When it gets pitch-black, you will be hit for a lot of damage if you stand still and not move.

Ice: This attack prevents you from moving.

Smoke: She will occasionally send you smoke clouds, causing poisonous magic damage.

After all the mages are down, Nex will start using Soul Split prayer.

Upon death Nex will activate Wrath which will deal damage to anyone standing nearby.

@RuneSharkVideos I dont know if you've figured this out already but if nex takes a certain amount of damage in a short space of time it will cause the umbrial darkness thing...
