Someday if you'd like, I'll tell you about the 1st time I heard " DWB ". The group now has only Mike Love & Bruce Johnston from the real group. Randell Kirsch, is doing this Lead--& he does it well. For the very best version Live--ever--listen to " DWB, 1972 Concert Version" , with Al on Lead, Carl, Dennis, Mike, Billy Hinsche, Blondie Chaplin. Wolfsky9

@Wolfsky9 Thank you, Wolfsky9 - I appreciate your comment. I'm now 23 and looking forward to seeing the Beach Boys for the 5th time in August. They always put on a fantastic show. They are tied for first place for my favourite concert of all time (along with Bachman-Cummings). Thanks for the video recommendation - I will definitely check it out. :)

@CSIGirl99 The thing about hearing " DWB" from the 73 Concert album here on You Tube, is just how totally --I mean, TOTALLY unexpected it was, when I 1st heard it, in the Fall of 73, Anaheim Convention Center. I was mezmerized, & absolutely in music heaven . Dennis & Mike were totally serious, Al sang his heart out, & OMG, the Harmonies! No one--NO ONE EVER--sang " DWB" like that. The Great Brian Wilson was the original lead singer on this song...as well as the Bass player........its too far way to see here....and Brian has had mental problem for years..so its hard to say. It is a great song....I never knew it was about drag racing though.
