@zippyf22 but it would have sucked as well, Shinji is useless in the original, he's a coward and he's weak, saving people is not something he was meant to be assosiated with, and it's supposed to be a plot point in how much living in the individualistic world hurts him so much, to know he was powerless to save her, and how much that hurt him, and hence why Lilith offered him the choice of accepting or rejecting Instrumentality, to lose his individualism to stop the pain, or to suffer on.

The way they constantly mispronounce Yoshimi as "Yoshime" in this song always annoyed me.
