Black Sea Dance No:2 "Cayelinden Oteye"

This a famous song of Blacksea.Also these songs has a special dance called Horon ,The name BlackSea Dance means Horon .For this piece i used the main theme and i added some special variations which contains turkish music elemnts.My approach to this piece as a fantasy at 7/16 tempo.

I added some Hıcaz(turkish musical scale which is also exict in arabic music)into this piece.Maybe that made you think it is arabic. But it is %100 Turkish. In this piece i used a scale which is used by Bizet in Carmen. did this made my piece influenced in Bizet? Yes i used hicaz. and so? this doesnt make the piece influenced in Arabic music. They are different things. they are just small musical motives. enjoy the music best wishes from Istanbul

Hi all thx for nice comments. I saw the discussion late:) this music is from black sea origion it is completely different from arabic music or ottoman turkish music. It has his original tempos like 5/8 7/8 and has his original musical sentences.

Can you clarify what classifies a dance as a 'Horon'? Are there any specific musical elements (meter, dancing style, etc?)
