Good point, but actually this isn't quite true. There is the same likeliness that hay from a farm has Mites&fleas as there is of hay from a pet store. Hay is hay, no matter where you get it!

But it's not very likely that the hay will have fleas. I don't know any guinea pig owner that has ever experienced a problem with mites&fleas from hay.
