Different horizons will have different sightings - thats Allah's nature and blessing for us. Hence the saheeh hadith:

Fadl (ra) went to Syria, and he came back to Medina at the end of Ramadhan. Abdullah b. 'Abbas (ra) asked him 'When did you see the moon? He said.: on Friday night. Abdullah said they ddint see the moon so will complete thirty (fasts). Fadl said: Is the sighting of the moon by Mu'awiya not valid for you? He said: No; this is how the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has commanded us.

And Deoband's Mufti & Shaikh-ul-Hadith's similar advice in urdu (inc. details of how the Arab League managed to coerce Indian ulema in 1972/3 to follow Saudi moonsighting.

Astaghfirullah, Saudi calendar is the Jewish calendar. Muslims are commanded by RasulAllah to sight the moon which is only possible about 17hours after the 'birth of the moon!! Saudi caught LYING 2011!!!

Visit moonsighting(dot)com and there is clear proof that it was impossible for anyone in Africa or Middle-East to see the new moon on Monday 29 Aug 2011. No country claimed to have seen the moon BUT Saudis announced Eid-ul-Fitr is Tuesday!! Then when prrof emerged, they claim a mistake with a PLANET (Saturn)!

after being fed of listening from both the sides i decided to contact Mufti Rafi Usmani directly regarding this issue at Darul Uloom Karachi. I got hold of his Maulana Imran Usmani and he told me in precise words that his father (Mufti Rafi Usmani) clearly endorses the moon sighting of Makkah as correct in the light of Quran and Sunnah and also endorses Muslims living in United States to make Makkah as their Markaz to avoid any conflict.

Alhumdulilah! Mufti-e-Azam of Pakistan Mufti Rafi Usmani (DB) wrote a fatwa that supports the fatwa of Hazrat Mufti Muneer Akhoon (DB). The fatwa has also been printed in Urdu Times (July 28, 2011). Mufti Rafi Usmani said that he gave this fatwa 2 yrs ago in the Hilal Conference held in Canada to the Mufties of Shariah Board, but they never informed others about it. It clearly mentions that those living in America can follow the sightings of Saudi Arab.

Letter of Imam-e-Kaba and the fatwa of Shiekh Bin Baz has been printed in Urdu Times (July 28, 2011), that states that the moon sighting method of Saudi Arabia is exactly according to the rules of Shariah. They have strongly condemned those who try to spread false propaganda against the Saudi moon sighting, by saying: those who spread lies about Saudi sightings are the one who have envy and malice in their hearts, and are the enemies of Islam.

Alhumdulilah! Mufti Naeem Sahib of Jamaia-Binoria has given full support to the fatwa of Hazrat Mufti Muneer Akhoon (DB). He said there is no other solution to resolve the conflicts of Candan and USA, but to follow the sightings of Saudi Arab.

Alhumdulilah! the most prominent scholar of Bangladesh Muhadis-e-Kabeer Hazrat Maulana Rafeeq Ahmed Sahib (DB) of Bait-ul-Muqaram Masjid, has fully endorsed the fatwa of Hazrat Mufti Muneer Akhoon (DB). And called upon all the Ulema of North America to follow it so as to create unity in Eid and Ramzan.

Bismillaah.

Dear writer. I think I need to stop now as I have already mentioned twice about the issue of Hajis. And why it is IMPOSSIBLE to folow Saudi annoucement (even it was right) Eastwards becuase of late in night and westwards because west can see Hilal one day BEFORE Saudi. I suggest please study a Globe instead of a Flat Earth map and understand insha'Allaah. I don't have the time to keep repeating. May Allaah guide me and all to Haq with Khayr. Aameen. MasSalaam.
