Violations of the linguistic and cultural rights of Berbers

Article 13 of the Constitution states that "all citizens have an equal right to education" but for the Amazigh, it is an education exclusively arabisante which excluded, and devalues their language and culture.

Thus, for example, the official history of Morocco as taught, begins with the arrival of the Arabs in the 7th century. All textbooks, whether in history, literature or even technology, make an apology for the Arab-Islamic civilization at the expense of the indigenous culture Amazigh.

The phenomenon of deterioration of civilizational achievements Amazigh is incredibly accelerated due to the forced Arabization, ranging from banned striking cultural expression Amazigh, falsification of historical facts, Arabization of toponymy, the administration, the justice, education and audio-visual mass media, and so on. The domination of public space by the Arabic, the official language, the language of Islam (state religion) and institutions (as of 26/01/1965 on Dahir Arabization), has created situations seriously prejudicial for Amazighs in their social life.

At school, Amazigh children are once again out of synch compared with the total learning environment directly into their linguistic, cultural and family or community. Therefore, they do not see themselves reflected an education system which is confusing and maiming all their knowledge acquired during the first six years of their lives. This violence identity creates a psychological trauma whose effects will be supported for many years.

The status of the Amazigh language is a bit more despised at each "reform". The last "charter for education and training" (1999) has clearly recommended to introduce a teaching Tamazight but "to better understand the achievements of Arab civilization" (sections 115 and 116 of the Charter), which attempts to perpetuate the idea of racial superiority of a civilization (Arabic) over another (Amazigh). With this in mind, the Moroccan government has initiated lessons of the Amazigh language in 300 classes since the academic year 2003/2004.

The state brought the Amazigh language in education but without creating specialized structures (for the training of teachers, research centers on language, etc.) necessary for a real support for the teaching of the language. Accordingly, the reality is far from the promise made by the government of "widespread teaching of the Amazigh language at all Moroccan children from 2008."

Textbooks are heavily invaded by the religious references, even in the scientific and technical disciplines. Little is left up to objectivity, to the awakening of critical thinking skills and universality. Anything that is Arab is sacred and everything that is not stigmatized and is violently rejected.

Worse still, and as an example, the history textbook for the class of 9th grade school, distributed by the Ministry of National Education, contains false allegations and falsificatrices and propagate ideology of hate and intolerance. This gave rise to the complaint filed in April 2004 by several hundred dignitaries Amazigh against the Minister of National Education. The Moroccan justice dismissed the complaint for defective, on the grounds that the plaintiffs have no right to speak on behalf of all the Berbers of Morocco. (Appendix 1)

These serious and repeated totally disregard the interests and rights of the child to his personality, his mother tongue and culture.

To this must be added the fact that Amazigh, a majority in rural areas, are even more discriminated as a result of the socio-economic marginalization of the regions Amazigh (enrollment very low, low mix, or lack of educational facilities, lack of infrastructure, etc.).

The High Committee on the status of Morocco drew up a list of authorized names and where Amazigh names are banned. It is regrettable to note that several children have been appointed to office with Arab names and others remain for years without formal name. Their only crime is to want to wear a name in memory of their ancestors. The authors of this list racist and discriminatory practices against the Berbers, have never been disturbed by the courts even if they violate the law that provides for (Article 6 of the Dahir of March 8, 1950) that "the applicant for a record marital status, choosing a suitable name. should not be whether a foreign name, a nickname laughable, we must not touch it for good morals or public order and finally, it must be authentically Moroccan. "

2/ Selon le Coran, tous les mécréants vont en enfer (5,10), ils sont impurs (9,28). Le Coran nous ordonne de battre les infidèles jusqu’à ce qu’il ne reste aucune autre religion que l’Islam (2,193). Ce que le Coran enseigne :

1/ Le Coran nous dit de «ne point prendre pour amis les Juifs et les Chrétiens » (5.51) et de les combattre « jusqu’à ce qu’ils paient le tribut après s’être humiliés » (9,29), « tuez-les partout où vous les rencontrez » (2,191), de les tuer et de les traiter « avec dureté » (9,123) : « tuez les polythéistes, partout où vous les trouverez. @azwoo Azul, 5/5 je rejoins la clarté et la justesse de ton analyse. Plus raciste qu'un arabe est un arabe lui même, nous n'avons rien à partager avec des oppresseurs, envahisseurs et des négationnistes qui œuvrent dans l'ombre dans le seul et unique objectif d'anéantir notre heritage, l'amazighité.
