LOVELY CHAINED TO A MEMORY THATS ME!!

@jpeyton62. It sounds like a James Jamerson style to me or him, himself.

i think if we had all sung that song when dusty was poorly she would have been over the moon, but id like to think she knew we loved her sadly sadly missed i think im "chained to a memory"

JUST LOVELY

This is a great version, except the bass player who must have been severely jacked up on something...Carole King said Dusty Springfield met her once in an elevator and said something to the effect of "so you're the little lady who makes all the music." Springfield's partner also said that a box of King's demos was one of Dusty's prized possessions and no one was allowed near it or risked death.

Just beautiful..Thanks Kath

No one beats Carole, but I gotta say: GREAT VERSION!
I didn't know she recorded it too ;-)
Absolutely tender and beautiful. This song was recorded BEFORE James Taylor's hit version..too bad it wasn't released before it, too. It mops the floor with Taylor's monotone reading. Dusty's version gives it warmth and life.
