Railfanning the BNSF La Junta Subdivision 11-17-07

Sat for an hour today with no luck, then I heard some radio traffic, and things started happening on the BNSF.

Train 1: LLPX #206 leads an eastbound K&O Manifest into Way Yard.

Train 2: BNSF B40-8 #8625 leads Local 12 East.

Wow! 8625 is one of three B40-8s in Santa Fe colors! 8612 and 8617 are the others. But doing some research, I found 8625 is the only one out of those 3 with an S3L!! SO Lucky man!

Train #1. Running good their on the K&O, especially for these nice old looking switchers that are not Greengoats with E-Bells.

Train #2. Nice!! Those are definately rare to find out on the BNSF these days, you are so lucky!

The railroad up by where I live leases a couple of those LLPX switchers.  One of them recently had it's traction motors catch fire.
