@McCombsPlan I like to know if you can take flaxseed during the first 8 weeks, like grinded flaxseeds.I did alot of research and this seems like this may be the best plan. There are many positive reviews and very few negative reviews but I don't know if it's actual people that tried this out that did the reviews. Is flaxseed allowed?

@reveler452 Most all other candida diets are based on an approach created by an MD in late 1950’s. This diet has several drawbacks and promotes a lot of misunderstanding about candida and the process of eliminating it. Most candida diets follow the 1950’s approach which doesn’t allow the consumption of fruits, potatoes, and other starches. This was necessary with that approach because they weren’t taking anything that effectively killed the candida fungus.

@reveler452 Part 4: Repeated courses of antibiotics can cause a lot of disruption of normal healthy tissue, so it may take a while to bring everything back into balance. It's not just a vaginal issue, it's a systemic issue.
-
@reveler452 Part 3: The vaginal tissue is normally acidic and the good bacteria helps to maintain the acidity. When the good bacteria destroyed by antibiotics, it allows the pH to change and become more alkaline and other bacterial species to become dominant. Other helpful ideas include inserting 2 acidophilus (Flora Prime) capsules twice a day into the vaginal tissue. Some women also use boric acid suppositories to help increase the acidity.
-
@reveler452 Part 2: The majority of vaginal infections are bacterial, so treating it as a yeast infection may not be effective, unless you're treating it systemically at the same time problem. This can help to balance the
bacterial flora. We have had patients eliminate this problem successfully and others who have found that it helped, but did not get rid of it completely. The vaginal tissue is normally acidic and the good bacteria helps to maintain the acidity.

@reveler452 Its hard to tell what created that persons yeast infection. The plan, or the pills do not create yeast infections. If the person was already having yeast infections to begin with it is common that they can get them several times during the plan as the body is detoxifying. Again the supplements will not create a yeast infection.
i'm skeptical about this because a certain person endorses this that is not too trustworthy.

@reveler452 Part 2: The 1950’s approach uses medication that doesn’t work systemically and is known to be toxic to the body. With that approach, they were trying to starve the candida out of the body, which is extremely difficult to do, if not impossible. With the McCombs Plan, as long as you follow the instructions and take the Candida Force, you can have fruits, potatoes, and other starches that are listed in the “YES” foods.
