I once had a kitten that was fed cat food from the grocery store for the first 5 months after being weaned from it's mother's milk. I began letting him outside and he started hunting,killing and eating wild rats,mice,squirrels,voles and an occasional rabbit it caught in the nearby Forest Preserve. My cat specialized in killing huge Fox Squirrels. This cat grew into a humongous, healthy tabby cat that lived for 22 years until it was eventually killed by a wolverine.

Thank you. That was very helpful. I wish I could have seen the teeth more closely. My ex-stray cat has only 2 fang-like teeth on the bottom and licks all of her food instead of biting into it which doesn't seem right to me. This often pushes it off the plate! Should cats have more than 2 teeth along the bottom? What about the top? Many thanks!
