I also noticed that at the time you posted this you were reading the Deathly Hallows? Such a fun coincidence that both that book and this series deals with 3 artifacts. LoL Sorry I had to throw that small observation in there. In your first post you asked what "fantasy" daemon everyone had in mind for themselves? My entire family read this series and we had others say what we had. I apparently to everyone around me seem to have a Canada Lynx haha I tell everyone that this series is a must read.

I agree about the change in pace from, The Golden Compass to The Subtle Knife. The change of writing style in the sense of the characters point of view between chapters, is a difficult transition between the first and second book. Since the first is such a cliffhanger at the end. But as you read on this artifact is so amazing, and put into the hands of a perfect character (Will). And yes the movie was made terribly wrong (Except for Sam Elliot) I love the entire concept of Dust & Daemons...

Where did you get your e-copy of Deathly Hallows? I've been looking for the series e-copy for Kindle. Although I suppose I could just wait and see what pans out on Pottermore.
