Great to hear RRS got their account back, let's hope RabidApe's will soon follow suit. I still think legal action is called for, whoever is responsible for this shouldn't get away with it.

I suppose they are not as widespread anymore, at least in the first world. The 'dark ages' thing is a matter of opinion. Each to their own.

yeah they arent and that was my mistake I meant in general medicine, they arent common place, and they are generally considered outdated and "Dark ages" medicine

But those mechanical leeches are not commercially availible yet (correct me if I'm wrong). There is a contradiction when you say "they dont use them in medicine anymore" and "They are sometimes used in microsurgeries"

actually they dont use them in medicine anymore. it used to actually be a valid treatment, to drain excess blood off of something, but now they have much more effective treatments.
They are sometimes used in micro surgeries, but not so much anymore, current work is being done towards mechanical "leeches"

Great vid. The visual and audio goes together pretty well. One thing, at 1:26, leeches were shown along witch burning and avian delivery theory. Leeches actually are used in modern medicine for their anti-clotting properties and ought not be compared to idiotic stuff like the theory of flat earth.

That's cool, I didn't know that. I didn't draw that picture either, just picked it up off of google.
