I think she should give more effort for learning Chinese. But Hong Kong claims itself to have 2 official languages (actually three spoken languages) why can't she get the governmental fund as much as the Chinese Hong Kongers if she is a Hong Kong resident.
You can learn some baby Chinese but i strongly doubt you can go anywhere if you think Chinese is primitive and it will be like English in the next decades.lol
I should learn Chinese one day... although primitive (sorry to offend but theres no alphabet and it's a handicap in today digital age) it will pretty much be like English in the next decades...
poor girl. but if you stay in China, not only for entering UNIV,but also for knowing more about chinese ppl, you'd better to learn chinese, anyway, cheer up!
Hey. If she wants to live in Hong Kong she has to learn Chinese sooner or later! This is actually good for her! Imagine when you live in a place where everyone speak a language you dont understand! Like you have to learn English if you live in USA! Its harsh but its the reality. Poor girl. Wish her all the best.
Hai wor, Ngoh deih hai Heung Gong yahn! Hong Kong is a mature and developed society, we must be open minded and work together to help our fellow Hong Kongers.
Traditional Chinese words are so hard to learn, but from learning chinese (traditional) your mind is being trained to think skillfully, brightly and logically. keep up the hard work.
admit it already, chinese is a poorly designed language
