I lost my beautiful Dalmatian, Indi, to cancer on Monday November 10, 2008. This slide show is a celebration of her life. It was a big life because Indi touched so many people in her show world and spent time living and traveling with June, her breeder/handler in Long Island New York. At home, she was little sister to her Dal brother "Levi" and big sister to Miniature Pinscher "Kirby". Indi loved water any where she found it. It was impossible to keep her out of the pool, the bathtub, mud puddles or even the toilet where she's duck her head under water and blow bubbles through her nose. Indigo could smile too. Not all Dalmatians do that but Indi did -- especially if you left her alone for a while and then came back to her. She seldom barked and when she did, it wasn't at people or other animals but at the plastic bag caught on a tree branch or the beach ball floating in a neighbor's pool. On walks, she'd spy someone outside blocks away from where we were and get so excited like she was sure they were just there waiting for her. Indigo's favorite walks were the ones to the campground where she could run off lead. Levi would take off, never to be seen again until we were ready to go home; but Indi would constantly circle back to make sure I was still with her. Her short life filled mine with joy and although Ill always miss her, I know I was lucky to have had her.

Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
She was beautiful - losing a friend like that is one of the hardest things in life, my thoughts are with you.

Thanks for watching. Indi was so special. I still miss her but I'm fortunate to have her great-niece "Lexi" with me now.

10 months? Why so young? I loved and enjoyed Indigo for seven years but I was no where near ready to let her go!
