I loved this as a kid... and also the Mysterious Cities Of Gold. Indeed cartoons in 80's were much more intelligent, inspiring and had moral messages. Now its all rubbish and shoot'em all. So glad to be able to watch it all again at 41 ! Thanks Kitty9584!!!

I have to say that kids shows today are heavily dumbed down. I don't think I could handle being a kid today. The 80s never underestimated kids understanding and tolerance for imagination.

@MrThe13371 I kinda of agree with you in terms of the New Thundercats, Justice League, Gargoyles & Batman TAS. Kids animation went through this whole Pokemonish cutesy stage in mid to late 90s and early 00s. In the 80s a lot of the toons were very much good versus evil so led to these kind of parable tales whereas for a while it was all more humour based.

@palendromebob Yes shows like young justice, my little pony: FIM, avatar: the last airbender, scooby doo: mystery incorporated, sym-bionic titan, star wars: the clone wars(2008), and the thundercats reboot have no intellect whatsoever. ( apologies if I sound like I'm bitching, but, as a animation buff, I just get a little irritated when people say how good it was "back in the day" and how the today's cartoons all suck.) again, apologies if I sound like I'm trolling, which I'm not.

Thise series was originally a French/Japanese collaboration. So I guess the original(s) must have been in French or Japanese.

I used to love this as a kid, it was actually quite dark intelligent stuff, with far more depth then most kids programs today.

Far more intelligent than say Ben 10. I thought it was just nostalgia but kids tv was actuallymuch better and darker back then. I could watch this now and I'm 31
