part of a film commissioned by a Flemish museum. The film re-enacts the wellknown 'Battle of the Gildens Spurs' which was fought in Kortrijk the 11th of july 1302. Things i learned from this video:

1- War with a low budget looks less brutal.

2- A Medieval battle is an event where angry people makes weird movements with blades.

3- Medieval battles are a perfect field for some MIDI music composers.

Actually as lot of re-enactors in England are rubbish too. They think they are in a movie most of the time and do things which, historically speaking, would be wrong. Its no doubt they look good, but they dont look right.
