  • does it matter the amount of magnification? I have a large 5x - could it work? i've seen people do 2x

  • @YouGleIt I don't see why it wont.

  • What's with the freaky love-manniquin behind him? We all get lonely....

  • @steeldustbronze LOL he is for photos at work. We have actually named him Rudy.

  • I added a link in the video for the lens used on the setup so be sure to check that out.

  • @TylerART Sure I will look today, sorry for being so late on the replys.

  • @amf1620 No it should be fine. I had a problem with the stock screw not being long enough. Go to a hardware store and find a longer one that will adapt to both. be sure to take you adapted lens and tripod mount to get the correct size.

  • @tiborr Cool I'm glad it helped =)

  • canon 85mm?

  • How would this work if you have the camera on a tripod? You fastened the viewfinder with a screw of some sort; wouldn't the tripod plate interfere with that, or would you simply put the tripod plate underneath the viewfinder and fasten it that way?

  • Cool, I finally made one thanks to you, I found a nice 2x magnifier at office depot.

Your project is much better than the other ones on the market as it allows to shoot in the sunlight & see the screen clearly, while beeing directly to fine focus with the eye on the screen ! works great thanks !

  • @tiborr I got the lens for min from Shoppers in the eye glass section. It was a magnifying lens fro maps with a led light.

  • great thanks ! Please tell us the brand of the magnifier you use & the store where to find them, thanks man !

  • the square ones work the best and I put my eye all the way up to the lens. I'm going to make another one soon and make a step by step video.

  • very nice ! I just have some issue by finder a nice flat magnifier that does'nt deform the picture with a bulging effect.
