  • I removed the flexible shaft cable to lube it and cant reinstall at the cutting end, any advice?

  • Unbolt the shaft tube from the engine and pull the cable though then align the cable in the square hole, then put it back together that way should work.

  • It was interesting that you could make a new rod - but a replacement rod would have been about $10-$15.

Anyway keep tinkering, that's how you learn.

  • That's what my POS Toyota Camry sounded like right before it blew lol.

  • @Mattgx2012 you prob need to go buy a carburator kit and replace the diaphram gaskets they are cheap like 10 bucks and that should fix the problem.

  • whatever it works that's all you need it to do. Who cares if it shounds like shit as long as it trims that's all that matters. Hell my push lawn mower has a slightly bent crank shaft and it still works yeah it may rattle more then i would like to but it's still cutting my grass just fine.

  • I have the exact weedwhacker. Piece of shit always dies after 20 seconds

  • @outdoorsman310 they should lock up before they seize tho too on a smal motor. they dont really have enough power to have a total seize.

  • @GFaviaJr yeah, they shouldn't lock up under normal conditions tho and they can seize without sitting out for long but its rare and usually caused my the wrong gas and carb adjustment

  • @outdoorsman310 yea, they usually do 'seize' when they sit out in the rain for too long. otherwise under NORMAL operating conditions, they do not seize, they only lock up. agreed?

  • @GFaviaJr they can seize , they shouldnt but they can

  • @outdoorsman310 i dont even care anymore. goodbye!

  • @GFaviaJr no
