i know i have seen the youtube video of the news report. i think he and his wife ate an 8th of good bud between them in one sitting. i always interpreted the "i think we're already dead" bit to mean he thinks the overdose they have taken is imminently fatal. which is of course so unlikely that it hardly needs mentioning. but he was very likely so high that it cannot be determined exactly what he meant. i support cannabis legalization. but it is possible to be too high for comfort.

we already do in the form of codeine, oxycodone and morphine. pharmacologically speaking heroin is diamorphine and the only real difference between all of these drugs is dosage. for example codeine is 1/10th the strengh of anhydrous morphine. so to get the same effect as 1mg of anhydrous morphine you need to administer 10mg of codeine. even methadone is an opioid and a member of the same drug family. but seeing as there are 100 cannabis smokers for every heroin user, let's focus on cannabis.
