True as the sun, the Hate Crimes Bill/Act/Law IS a racist action, as are all others, history shows, done in the name of "justice," jsut as the Jews, & otehrs were persecuted, or suffered. One thing to note: IF A GROUP OF PEOPLE HAS A LOUD, PERSISTENT VOICE, ALWAYS HEARD, THEY ARE NOT SUFFERING BADLY, OR WOULD NOT HAVE THAT MUCH & LOUD A VOICE.

Key word "nearly", meaning relative but not absolute. I dont know about the latter part "In the US one does NOT have a right not to be offended." I beleive an argument could be made there.

We have free speech here in the US. It is nearly absolute, so far. The US Supreme Court allows VERY few exceptions regarding political opinions. In the US one does NOT have a right not to be offended.
