NLK Kyo-Mugen #122: Orochi Ken (SG-166)

This is my 267th Mugen video! It features President Kyo XI by Beppu going up against SG-166's Orochi Ken. Nothing much to write home about... just a regular SFA3 Ken with different palettes, a KoF '97 Orochi Iori soundpack swap and crappily edited sprites. Low in AI and high in stupid (as shown in one of PJ's old survival runs). To put it simply: Don Drago's version is FOUR MILLION TIMES BETTER.

Kyo managed to beat him in one try, obviously.

All matches are AI battles on Level 8, unless otherwise stated.

Damned straight. Actually, it comes from Orochi Iori's KoF '97 winquote, where he viciously screams "KYOOOOOOOO!" As much as I like Kunihiko Yasui's voice, that usually really gets on my nerves, too.

What's even dumber about this ken is the author mixed the Taunt and KO noises up.

Damned straight. Can't do good sprite edits, can't do nice palettes, and can't even accurately rip sounds from KoF '97. This is a TRULY 'great' author. ^_^

No shit! This Ken is so crappy that he doesn't even have a character portrait.... Is it me or does Ken just run off everytime Kyo hands him his ass and changes costumes only to come back and get his ass kicked by Kyo again?

Damned straight, dude. It always bugs the crap out of me when these authors are so damned lazy that they can't even bother to throw in a decent character portrait for their creations. And, no, it's not just you. I noticed the exact same thing, too.

(At least, I've done a "Orochi Iori-like" Orochi ken, not a superduper overpowered combomaker Ken ^^. The normal version of my Ken tend to be harder than Orochi version :P)
