  • Somova's variation was beautifully danced, in my opinion. In the coda, I still don't like her fouettés - they are very unsteady and she "kicks" too hard. But that last diagonal of turns @6:00 was pretty amazing.

  • Six years ago Alina danced this role at the graduation from the Vaganova Academy. Now she comes back to it again as Prima ballerina of the leading ballet company. Bravo!

  • Just because she is not a turner does not mean anything ,she is positively gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • if the conductor is speeding up, it's probably to save the dancer...she seemed to have lost some control and was gaining a little too much momentum

  • cade a variaçao masculina?

  • I must add that she improved a lot though.

  • why Mariinsky's conductors ALWAYS have to speed up hysterically during the ballerina's fouettes? and always with Somova I feel, poor girl.

  • she did it better in school... well differently. in school the technique level to me was higher more perfect... now she's developing more as an artist...

  • amazing if you like spastic fouettes. Though I have to admit, for her, those are particularly good.
