This simulation was designed for http://www.2012hoax.org/ to show as evidence that comet Elenin is no danger at all. And that any claims that Elenin cause the Japan Earth quake is nonsense. It was simply too far away. You can follow the date left down the simulation wndow and the distance to Earth.

This simulation is based on real gravitational influences to show what the Comet Elenin sees when it look s at Earth and flies through the solar system.

Notice that Elenin gets below Earths orbit entering the solar system and when it gets closest at 34,000,000 km it flies 4,000,000 km above the orbital plane of Earth indicating that it never can hit Earth at all.

Also notice the Earth-Moon distance to get some sense of scale how far Elenin really is.

This simulation also shows the speed of Elenin relative to Earth, the magnitude of Earth, the % illumination and the distance Elenin-Earth.

At closest reach the speed is still 23 km/s relative to Earth and is far above the 0.108 km/s speed that would that would be slow enough at that distance to get gravitationally pulled towards Earth.

That fast speed of 23 km/s would even be too fast when it would come as close as 100km from Earths surface to get gravitationally pulled to Earth. That speed should have been 7.85 km/s max.

  • do you know anything about physics. "It was simply too far away.". First. Don't think I'm saying the Japan Earthquake was caused directly from Comet Elenin. Second. EVERYTHING is a chain reaction in space. Third. The comet has indirectly had an effect on our planet, and as well as every other physical moving thing in space. If something big enough gets near us, regardless of it's path, Earth will be pulled towards it. I.E. THE FUCKING MOON AND SUN (WOBBLE!!!!!). LAST. It could cause devistation

"do you know anything about physics"

    Yep.

The simulation you see here has already included all gravitational forces.

The gravitational force cause by Elenin is the same as a normal adult person standing 180 km away from you! Four people standing at 180 km would be double the force of Elenin.

There is no such thing as extremely negative particles. Negative particles are electrons and are all equal. And the negative particles would be pulled back by the comet that becomes positive

Uh? Someone thinks a comet can cause massive earthquakes. I really do despair for humanity.

  • I dont understand why comet Elenin is getting all the attention by the conspiracy theorists. Comet Honda will be much closer than Elenin at a closest approach of 8.9 million km (compared to 34 million km for Elenin). Honda will be at its closest in mid August. I hope PlanetXwormwood will come back in October and explain what happened to the brown dwarf he is expecting to block out the sun.

Thanks for the video. Thumbs up :)

  • @abe2517 far MORE annoying is the use of the F-word in "normal" conversation. Grow up... there are more words that you can use that DON'T OFFEND PEOPLE.

  • @obaeyens Typing in CAPS is also a way to EMPHASIZE what you are saying... it isn't always yelling or because someone is old... give people a break... I use caps allhe time when I want to emphasize a word or even a thought. NO SET RULES!!!

  • ps. I still gave you a thumbs up for bringing attention to this topic. Thank you for you video.

  • this NON ACCREDITED ANIMATION is not very accurate. Go to Nasa's site and have a look at the a few images from various satelites. Elenin is larger than Jupiter, has been by many many times in the past, has likely caused all kinds of havac all summed up. It will be closest to the Earth on Oct. 27, 2011. ELENIN IS NOT GOING TO HIT THE EARTH, however any objects captured by its gravity may impact us, hope for small ones!

  • @777deathless888 - seriously, who let this ignorant fuckwit in on the conversation? Take your capitol letters - and capital letter - and fuck off bitch!

sorry to be rude, but ALL CAPS are annoying.

  • Elenin will turn out to be like the Y2K fiasco. .a big load of nothing.

  • @777deathless888

In case someone has poor eyesight, he will have his monitor with a huge font!

Typing in capital letters is associated with either a very old person used to the old style type writers, someone that is yelling or someone that is brain-dead. People automatically ignore you.

If you want to be taken seriously then you should use normal letters.

  • @777deathless888

    = GREAT NOW WHAT ABOUT YU55? =

    Stop yelling!

  • @27ljta

I repeat, this is kiddy-physics. And it is very clear that you do not understand basic physics.

  • @27ljta

"please educate us all on the matters of gravitational forces and astronomy!"

First let us determine if you actually can calculate the gravitational force of a comet.

Because if you could, you probably never ever again claim that an alignment could do anything.
