In the year 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient spacefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time.

They called it the greatest discovery in human history.

The civilizations of the galaxy call it... MASS EFFECT.

But there are deeper, much darker secrets of the galaxy.

  • hey I realy need help from someone, Im on ilos and It says my decription skill isnt high enough to decript the the thing that unlocks the elevator. Am I totally screwed and how do I raise my decription skill?

  • @1245shadowscythe

You dont have to use that elevator, thats just a shortcut for more higher levels.. if you go to the the very back away from where you start there should be a path that leads into the structure on the far side.. =]

  • oh realy? cuz ive been all around the area and I can find anything other than that damn control panel lol P.S. Im at the part just after the mako drops (except ive killed all the geth)

  • @1245shadowscythe

Look at the video Ilos part 1 or 2 and it should show you the way,

  • Totally. As with many of the cutscenes in this game, I was left in awe. Chills ran up my spine. I fuckin love this game.

  • That was the biggest thing Humanity seemed to offer. Despite the Salarians and their so called scientific-bent, despite THOUSANDS of years of people using a space station they -found-....laying -around-.....it seemed like they'd been flat drugged to not give two shits about the Keepers.

Humanity would -NEVER- plant it's ass in a deep space structure it found floating out in B.F.E. and say "Huh....cute little critters. Must be pointless."

    That's what we brought.

    CURIOSITY.

LOLZ. Im saying "huh... cute little critters. Must be pointless" in Mordin voice!!! :3

  • @enterprise0709 That would only occur if humanity was dumb enough to let a Government agency explore the stars ahead instead of taking that risk for themselves. A Statist structure would have either torn it apart like you said, or better yet, just claimed -they- made it in the first place and it was all theirs.

Humanity has had a historical...issue...with so called "leaders". But just because we bear collective responsibility /for/ them doesn't mean we bear collective intent along /side/ them.

  • @HotaruZoku what would be more powerful if Humanity would have been the first to find the Citadel: CURIOSITY or GREED? Knowing humanity, we would most likely tear the structure apart for the resources, build ourself yet another pointless weapon of mass destruction from the resources, and do most of the work FOR the Reapers.

I know human leaders to well, they would do that IF they would not be hold back, by a Asari, Tourian or Salarian race.

  • @ertyqwer - Extensive play of first.. And you'll get no argument from me, your observations are valid and accurate. My position is...meta, in comparison. It's not that no one else was ever interested, it's that for whatever reason the entire galaxy(save Salarian researcher) had given up the ghost on figuring them out.

it took the Curiosity of Humanity to single handedly figure in only years that which dozens of sapient species decided not to puzzle out over the course of millennia.

  • @HotaruZoku - have you played the actual game? Humanity was far from the first race to be curious about keepers. It's just kinda hard to study creatures that carry backpacks full of explosives, which detonate if you interfere with them in any way.

There's actually a salarian researcher who found a way to scan the keepers without setting them off, and asks you to help him

What humanity brought was willingness to flip off the Council in order to pursue a hazy vision. And a healthy dose of luck.

  • Rape the RIPPERS!!!!

  • Who would have thought those little keepers posed so much a threat... and that actually is the great thing about Mass' story it has plot twist and discoveries worth of the best movies around. That is why no race has ever found out the Keepers true purposes, for million of years, because they were actually meant to be like that... they don't attract attention, and in this way they do the Reaper's work, and the organic beings gets fucked up without even noticing

  • @Vicks007kid oh ok thanks for the help man
