Epiphone is much better than Gibson by a country mile. The 2010 model Epiphone G400. Standard 62 Sg and the 2011 Epiphone limited edition 50th anniversary 1961 Sg reissues are two perfect examples of Epiphones being a better guitars than Gibsons. Gibson hasn't made a better guitar than their sister company Epiphone since 2008. Gibson is finished.

We don't need Gibson anyways we have today the great Epiphone guitars that are Gibson every equal and better! Epiphones only falt there way underpriced for the top professional quality they delivery today!

@phantomcharger There are no "real" republicans i.e. Abraham Lincoln any longer. I am trying to suggest that Obama has backed the republican front with Bipartisan ideaolgies so much and stood on the conservative side so that it could be interpreted or construed as being republican. Also, republicans have lost the notion of liberal republican or conservative Democrat. It seems that if you do not stand so far right of anything rational than you are a liberal.

@phantomcharger I don't check my Youtube messages very often so I will now reply to you. I never wrote anything about being "out for jobs." I was suggesting that policies are in place to ensure jobs in other countries. Take a look at the Occupy (insert a city) movement(s) that is just the notion it has been stating. It is not so much "some wood for guitars" as the Corporate outsourcing as a whole. Perhaps a straw/ camels back sort of situation.

He says almost all guitars use rosewood or ebony.....not true, five guitars on the wall in front of me, maple fingerboards, 3 with rosewood, none with ebony. Gibson uses rosewood on almost every model, and ebony on a handful. It does effect the sound, I happen to prefer the tone of maple over rosewood, but the rosewood on 3 of my guitars is probably from India, or 1 of them might be Bolivian rosewood. Point is he's talking to non-musicians telling them "almost all guitars use ebony or rosewood".

Henry J is a "Harvard Boy" and knows "Spin"..True..He has donated to good causes, but that is about PR..All companies do this..He would like to rally everyone for support and have you believe Rock & Roll itself is under attack by the government..He has a "Tea-Bagger Mentality"..Illegally harvested wood is just that..He needs to polish his business ethics and follow regulation..They exist for a reason..I love playing guitar too..but the environment is important..As artist we should respect that.
